LinkedIn is rolling out a new feature that allows users to add external links to photos shared in posts, which means another way for business/brand owners to drive traffic: adding links from the company’s LinkedIn page or profile supports jumps, which will increase the traffic potential to the website (or other external platforms).
Geri Silver, Creator Manager at LinkedIn, shared an example of the new link sticker. You can see how to add a link to a photo in the screenshot below:
Link stickers can be different sizes and can even be placed on top of the video.
Although the link text is customizable, the design of the link stickers doesn't look like much variation. Business/brand owners can always add some emojis to avoid using the same generic stickers on all content.
Availability and usage details
Add link stickers to photos and videos with the post creation tool in the LinkedIn mobile app. It should be noted that link stickers cannot be added directly through the desktop interface yet. However, when users on any platform see a post in their feed, they can see the link and choose whether to click to jump to it.
1Link stickers are rolling out to users in stages, meaning some people will have link access before others. When business/brand owners are eligible, managers will see a link icon button when creating a post in the LinkedIn mobile app, which means they can freely use the stickers going forward.
